A collaboration with artist Tim Shaw commissioned by English Heritage.
During 10 collaborative workshops Tess Denman-Cleaver and Tim Shaw worked with a group of young artists from South East Northumberland to built bespoke microphones, develop technical and artistic approaches to field recording, and generate site-responsive text and image material. The final artwork was an exploration of languages and phenomena found within local heritage sites that uses multimedia collage to create ambiguity within the contemporary heritage contexts. It was presented at Globe Gallery (Newcastle, 2018).
