Always repeating

A performance created in response to Luke Fowler’s film Electro-Pythagorus: A Portrait of Martin Bartlett for the opening of Audiograft Festival 2019 at OVADA (Oxford).

To create this text-based performance, Tess employed a method of writing with (rather than about) moving image also adopted in Absorb and MutualismAlways Repeating explored ideas of repetition, language and sound drawn out from Fowler’s portrait of Canadian composer Martin Bartlett and in reference to the writing of Gertrude Stein.
